Today’s Bible reading: Proverbs19: 20-21
Listen to counsel and receive instruction,
That you may be wise in your latter days.
There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel – that will stand.

We are in the process of seeking God about the future format of Prayersharers and would ask that you pray for us to be guided by the Lord’s Hand. If you have any comments we would also welcome your input.

Spain

As we lived in Spain for about 17 years, we have a love for the country and for the people. We are acutely aware of what is going on in Cataluña and the movement for independence. The clash with the Constitution threatens to break up Spain and although people should have justice and democracy, this needs to be weighed with the stability of the Country. Instability in Spain has been deadly in the past and we pray for a peaceful solution.

Heavenly Father,  we thank You that Spain has been a mostly peaceful country since the end of the civil war and World War 2. Lord, we lift up this country to You and ask that You find a solution amongst men who are confronting each other over the best path for their people. Lord, we pray for dialogue which can be meaningful and understanding the issues that surround the movement for independence.
Father, we pray for the country that is steeped in Catholicism, and in the memories of sectarian violence of the past. Father, we pray that You will bless this country of Spain, bring camaraderie and unity  to each in their union and Kingdom of Spain.
Lord, we also pray for those in Spain who do not know You and Jesus Christ as their Saviour, we pray that they will seek and find, that they will knock on the door which will be opened to them.
Father, we pray for peace in Spain, for wisdom for government leaders, and for a solution to this problem which is fair and just. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
