Zimbabwe Call to prayer for Zimbabwe

It has been years now that the nation of Zimbabwe is going through severe turmoil. The people of this nation are in one of the worst humanitarian crises known to the world – famine, as well as threatened by a political time bomb.
On 27 June, 2008, they will have another round of elections to vote for president. There are rumours and reports of a lot of atrocities committed in this nation. The solution to this nation’s problems is not political, social, economical or humanitarian, but spiritual. Over the past few years many people have prayed and are still praying that God will intervene in this nation’s struggle. Now is the time that we must express our faith that God is in control and that He does answer prayer. Let us, as never before, cry out to God to have mercy and let us trust Him.
Mark 11:23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
Let us pray the following in Unity:
“I confess and believe that the Triune God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is sovereign and rules from heaven and is in control over Zimbabwe!”
Psa 47:8 God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.
Jer 10:7 Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For this is your due; for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like you.
“I confess and believe that God sees and responds to everything that happens in Zimbabwe!”

Psa 2:1-4 Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying, “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.
Psa 33:13-15 The LORD looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man; from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds.
Gen 16:13 So she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, “You are a God of seeing,” for she said, “Truly here I have seen him who looks after me.”
“I confess and believe that God has a purpose and a plan for Zimbabwe!”

Act 14:16 In past generations he allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways.
Act 17:26-27 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us.
Isa 14:26 This is the purpose that is purposed concerning the whole earth, and this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations.
“I confess and believe that God answers prayer!”

Isa 41:17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst, I the LORD will answer them; I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
Isa 58:9-10 Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.
Matt.7:7 Keep on asking and it will be given to you.
“I confess and believe that God will bring salvation!”

Psa 42:11 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.
Psa 79:9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name’s sake!
“I confess and believe that God wants the wicked to repent and turn to Him!”

Eze 18:23 Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord GOD, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?
“I confess and believe that the lives of the righteous are in God’s hand and that He controls life and death!”

Job 12:10 In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.
“I confess and believe that justice will come to Zimbabwe!”

Luke 18:7 And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them?
“I confess and believe that God’s mercy will triumph over judgement!”

Jas 2:13 For judgement is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgement.
“I confess and believe that forgiveness is available for every sin of Zimbabwe!”

Eph 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
Luke 24:46-47 and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.”
“I confess and believe that light will overcome darkness!”

John 1:4-5 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
“I confess and believe that God loves the people of Zimbabwe!”

Rom 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
“I confess and believe that the church in Zimbabwe will bring glory to the Name of Jesus!”

Mat 16:18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
“I confess and believe that help is available right now at the throne of grace in this hour of Zimbabwe’s need!”

Heb 4:16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on Zimbabwe
AMEN

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. (Matthew 5 v 9)
