Prayer diary 31st October 2019

2019, Prayer diary
Today's Bible reading: 1 Timothy 2 vv 1-4 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. United Kingdom Once again we have come to a promised political deadline in our country, one which was supposed to see us leaving the European Union, with a negotiated deal. Prayer Diary Sunday 30th June 2019

2019, Prayer diary
Today's Bible reading: 1 Corinthians 1 vv 18-19 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. I don't know a great deal about Sri Lanka, except that there are about 22 million people living there, in relative peace since the civil war ended about 10 years ago. I do know that yesterday there were 8 separate…

Prayer for Iran: Monday 3rd September 2018 Today's Bible reading: 1 Peter 5:10 “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” Iran Iran has sentenced four Christians to imprisonment to a total of 45 years in prison for “membership of a group with the purpose of disrupting national security”. That "group" is a small house church. Iran’s mullah-led Islamic regime has sentenced four Christians to harsh prison terms for practising their faith.
