Prayer diary 31st October 2019

2019, Prayer diary
Today's Bible reading: 1 Timothy 2 vv 1-4 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. United Kingdom Once again we have come to a promised political deadline in our country, one which was supposed to see us leaving the European Union, with a negotiated deal. We have been at this point 3 times before and the latest deadline is 31st January 2020. Whichever way you voted, or did not vote, I feel that we must…

Prayer Diary Sunday 30th June 2019

2019, Prayer diary
Today's Bible reading: 1 Corinthians 1 vv 18-19 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. Prayer diary: Monday 22nd April 2019 Today's Bible reading: Matthew 5 vv 8-12 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. I don't know a great deal about Sri Lanka, except that there are about 22 million people living there, in relative peace since the civil war ended about 10 years ago. I do know that yesterday there were 8 separate…

Life – Past Present and Future

2018, Mission
"Life, Past Present and Future" is a new publication by Malcolm Hedley, which is an evangelical tool produced as a booklet. The Hedleys used to live in Spain, where they were "Costa Blanca Mission" in Torrevieja and have relocated to England where they continue to serve the Lord in Evangelism. We recommend this booklet and pray that all who read it will respond to the message and put their faith for their future into God's hands acknowledging the saving Grace that flows from Jesus Christ, his sacrificial death and resurrection. The new booklet is available as a PDF download here thanks to permission from Malcolm.
